Nursery Time

Ms. Patience (The pig) has headed into the "birthing" stall this week... her due date is this Friday, and all of our fingers are crossed that she took.
We are hoping by next week we'll have some cute little piglets running around.

SonRidge Farm Camp

What has SonRidge Farm been up to?

As you can see in the pictures... we have had some kids over.
As of 2010 SonRidge farm has started to do FARM CAMPS! That's right, we have kids aging from 9-15, come over from 9-3.30 each day for one week. They learn everything from riding AND cleaning up after horses, to shearing a Angora Goat.
SonRidge farm has done 2 camps so far, and has 1 more left in August. Both times have been a great success, and all the kids have enjoyed it.

Baby piglets!

"Patience" (the female pot bellied pig) had a litter of 4 piglets on September 26. (this is her second litter)

She had 2 girls & 2 boys. (all of which have deposits on them).

Their names have been decided by there new owners- the small female is named "Maggie Lou", the small male is named "Jacoby", & the large male is named "Willie". (the large female is still unnamed).

New horse...

My owner brought a new horse to the farm in May. (I'm kind of behind on posting!)

"Shadow" is a small bay Quarter horse, he is for my owner's sister.

In May we also said good bye to "Penny" as she has been sold, and gone to a new home. (She had very many issues with "Bella" who came to use in January).
Enjoy the pictures!!

Baby pigs!! (piglets)

April 17th 2 piglets were born. 1 boy, 1 girl.
My owner has named the girl "Ruffles", but she does not have a name for the boy yet.

Though she is selling both of them, she still likes to give them names, (they won't be able to go to the new home 'til 8-10 weeks, but 1 is already has a nice home waiting for it!).

If you guys have any name ideas for the little boy please let us know!
The girl has 4 white stockings, and a white spot on her forehead.
They boy is mostly black but does have some white on his feet.
I can't wait to hear your suggestions!
